As I mentioned before, my strategy for deciding whether to start the keto diet was to test out the snacks. My thinking was that if I enjoyed the snacks, then it could easily become a lifestyle. One snack that I knew we’d need a replacement for was cookies. The reality was that my husband and I would order cookies every few weeks so we kind of needed a keto-friendly alternative.
Nui Cookies was one of the first keto-friendly snacks that I ever tried. I got a pack in a monthly keto snack box and I was hooked. Each packet of 2 cookies was less than 300 calories. They were grain-free, full of healthy fats like MCT Oil, and had no sugar added. Plus, their peanut butter cookies had an amazing bold flavor.
What is Nui?
As you can probably tell, Nui has a line of keto-friendly and low carb cookies. The cookies come in four key flavors: Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate, and Snickerdoodle. This past year, they released their first seasonal flavor Ginger Something, which I used as a crust in this Low Carb Pumpkin Brandy Cheesecake.
Before they were Nui, they were called Keto Kookie. Keto Kookie came in the cutest foil packets. Keto Kookie first came to popularity after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Why is Nui good for people who follow keto or low carb lifestyles?
Nui is the perfect keto snack for cookie lovers because the cookies do not have added sugar and they are only 2g net carbs or less.
Their nutrition makes it pretty easy to fit one into your macros on any given day.
What are some reasons that I love Nui (and you should too)?
- They taste great – my husband loves the cooling effect that they have in your mouth (that comes naturally from erythritol)
- Two cookies are considered a serving – yes to eating an entire pack!
- Most (if not all) Nui flavors are typically less than 300 calories and 4g of net carbs per serving!
- Their Ginger Something and Snickerdoodle cookies are also our personal favorites!
