Add the hot sauce, ranch seasoning, and oil to the bowl with the chicken.
Evenly coat the chicken with the seasoning and oil.
Add the chicken to the air fryer cooking basket.
Air Crisp the wings at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes per side. During the last 5 minutes of cooking you can turn the heat down to 360 degrees if the buttermilk (from the ranch seasoning) is browning too quickly!
Notes
Turn down the air fryer heat if needed: Ranch wings are cooked about 5 minutes before I actually take them out because I prefer a crisp and browned chicken wing skin. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, though, you can turn the heat down to 360 degrees if the buttermilk (in the spice mix) is browning quickly and you want your wing skin to crisp more.
Allow the chicken to sit with ranch for more flavor: this is optional, but you can use ranch seasoning as a dry rub and keep it on the wings up to two days in advance
Add more ranch seasoning at the end: depending on how much you love ranch seasoning, you can sprinkle more on the cooked wings when they are done.
