Garlic Butter Rice
This garlic butter rice is fluffy, savory, and full of rich garlic flavor. Made with jasmine rice, butter, and broth, it’s an easy side dish that pairs well with chicken, steak, seafood, or simple weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Instructions
Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear.
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the rice and cook 1 minute, stirring to lightly toast the grains.
Add the chicken broth, salt, and pepper and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 13–15 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat and let the sit covered 5 minutes.
Fluff with a fork and stir in the remaining 1 tbsp butter. Garnish with chives or parsley.
Notes
Rinse the rice first:
This helps the rice cook up fluffier and less sticky.
Cook the garlic briefly:
Garlic can burn fast, so you only want to cook it until fragrant.
Toast the rice in the butter:
That quick minute in the pan gives the rice a little more depth.
Keep the lid on while it cooks:
The trapped steam helps the rice cook evenly.
Let it rest before fluffing:
A short rest helps the texture finish setting up.
Stir in the last bit of butter at the end:
