Sugar Free Cranberry Sauce
This sugar free cranberry sauce is a bright, sweet-tart holiday side that comes together in about 15 minutes. It uses frozen cranberries and thickens naturally as it cools.

Ingredients
10
oz
Whole Cranberries
I used frozen, but fresh works well. You can use up to 12 oz.
1
cup
Water
1/2
cup
Granular Sweetener
1/4
tsp
orange extract
optional, or 1 tbsp orange zest
Instructions
Add all of the ingredients to a medium sauce pan over medium-low heat.
Stir to combine.
Cook on medium heat until the cranberries pop (about 10 minutes).
Allow the cranberry sauce to cool before using. It will thicken as it cools.
Notes
Fresh cranberries:
Use the same amount. They may take a few minutes longer to soften and burst.
Sweetener:
This recipe was tested with a granulated 1:1 monk fruit and erythritol blend.
Orange flavor:
Use orange extract or fresh orange zest, depending on what you have.
Storage:
Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to five days. The sauce will thicken more as it cools and chills.
