Instructions
Preheat your air fryer
at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
Mix the spices
together in a small bowl.
Season the chicken:
Add the chicken thighs to a large mixing bowl. Pour on the spices and oil. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
Place the chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket
Air fry the chicken thighs
at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. You can flip the chicken halfway through to get even browning, but I often skip flipping.
Make the sauce:
Mix the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
Add the chicken to a large bowl and pour on the sauce.
Toss the cooked chicken in sauce and serve
. Leftover sauce can be served with the chicken in a dipping cup.
Notes
Preheat your air fryer to help get a sear on the meat without overcooking it.
Chicken thighs are forgiving so it’s ok to cook them for an additional 2-3 minutes to the cook time to get a crisper finish.
Slice and dice the chicken thinly if you use it in tacos or salads.
Add ghost pepper seasoning or use extra spicy sauce for extra heat.
Any hot sauce will work.
