Blackened Salmon Bites are bold and flavorful with a crisp crust and tender center. Made with 3 ingredients and homemade blackened seasoning, they’re ready in 20 minutes in a cast iron skillet. Perfect for bowls, salads, or tacos.
Pat the salmon dry on a cutting board to remove excess moisture for better browning.
Sprinkle the blackened seasoning evenly over all sides, gently pressing it in.
Heat a skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-low heat for 2–3 minutes.
Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt and sizzle.
Arrange the salmon in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 4 minutes to develop a good sear. Flip and continue cooking for 3–4 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through. Remove from the pan and serve warm.
Notes
Store: Refrigerate up to 3 days in an airtight container.
Freeze: Freeze up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
Reheat: Warm gently in a skillet over low heat or microwave in short intervals to prevent drying out. They’re also great cold on salads or tucked into wraps so you might skip reheating.
