No matter how many foods I try, one thing that I can’t seem to live without is pizza. So, when I started keto, I knew that I’d have to find some sort of options for keto pizza. This easy keto recipe uses a premade cauliflower pizza crust, a no sugar added sauce, and pepperoni for a family and kid-approved meal!
This keto pizza recipe uses Cali’flour Foods cauliflower pizza crust.
Cali’flour Foods has a line of low carb and keto-friendly pizza crusts and crackers. Each crust is 180 calories and 3g net carbs. These crusts are my go-to for keto pizza and cottage cheese lasagna because they only have 4 ingredients (cauliflower, cheese, spices, and eggs). Compared to some competitors (that have tons of ingredients and flour), these are actually a low carb pizza crust.
Where can I buy these cauliflower pizza crusts?
I get these from the Cali’flour Foods website. However, they are also available on Amazon. I prefer to get my crusts from Cali’flour Foods directly because they are cheaper. Plus, I can use my own code (DRDAVINAHS) to get 10% off an order of $50 or more.
Why are you using a premade cauliflower crust?
I’m certain that some of you are giving me the side-eye wondering about why I’m using a store-bought cauliflower crust. I’m also excited that you want to make everything from scratch. For me, it is more convenient to buy premade cauliflower crusts, than go through the process of making my own. Besides the time it would take, I’d also imagine that it’s more expensive (e.g., buying cauliflower, finding a good recipe, trail and error).
What kind of sauce do you use for Keto Pizza?
Tomatoes, like most fruits, have some carbs. So, it’s impossible to find a carb free pizza sauce. What I focus on when searching for keto pizza sauce is added sugar. I get Whole Foods’ Tomato Basil sauce, which costs me $2.49.
What kind of cheese do you use?
I’ve tried a few different keto pepperoni pizzas. I’ve found that I prefer to have shredded Mozzarella or Mild Cheddar Cheese. You can also try “Italian” or “Pizza” Blends of cheese. They tend to have a combo of cheddar, mozzarella, and other cheeses.
