This Sugar-free Pumpkin Spice Latte is a homemade version of the Starbucks fall favorite without the added sugar. It’s creamy, full of pumpkin spice flavor, and ready in less than 5 minutes with instant coffee, freshly brewed coffee, or pumpkin spice cold brew.

It’s one of my favorite keto pumpkin recipes for pumpkin season. Make this keto pumpkin spice latte for an easy morning coffee or top it with homemade whipped cream for a coffee-shop-style drink at home.
Why Make Keto Pumpkin Latte
- Sugar-free and low-carb: This homemade pumpkin spice latte uses a sugar substitute instead of regular sugar and has 3g net carbs per serving.
- Make your fall coffee at home: If you look forward to the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte each fall but want a sugar-free option, this recipe gives you the pumpkin, warm spices, coffee, and creamy finish at home.
- Perfect for pumpkin season: Add it to your fall favorites alongside Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew, Keto Pumpkin Muffins, and pumpkin chia pudding.
Ingredients Needed
Here’s what you need to know about the ingredients in this recipe. The exact amounts are in the recipe card below.
- Unsweetened almond milk: This is my preferred milk for this recipe, but you can use another unsweetened milk that you enjoy.
- Pumpkin pie spice: Use a store-bought blend or make your own pumpkin pie spice.
- Vanilla extract: Adds a little extra warmth and sweetness to the pumpkin spice flavor.
- Keto sweetener: Powdered or granular sugar substitutes work. Choose one that dissolves well in drinks and adjust it to taste.
- Pumpkin puree: Use plain, unsweetened pumpkin puree rather than pumpkin pie filling.
- Hot coffee: Freshly brewed coffee, instant coffee, or cold brew can all work as the coffee base.
- MCT oil: This is optional and gives you the option to make the drink more similar to bulletproof coffee.

How to Make Keto Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Start with the coffee: Add the coffee to a large mug or blender.
- Add the pumpkin mixture: Add the pumpkin puree, milk, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, sweetener, and optional MCT oil.
- Blend until frothy: Use a milk frother, immersion blender, or regular blender until everything is smooth and lightly foamed.
- Finish and serve: Top with sugar-free whipped cream and an extra sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

Top Cooking Tips & FAQs
- Freeze leftover pumpkin: Spoon extra pumpkin puree into an ice cube tray and freeze it. Once frozen, transfer the cubes to a freezer-safe container so you can use a small portion in future drinks.
- For a creamier drink: Add a little heavy cream, heavy whipping cream, or unsweetened coconut cream.
- Adjust the sweetness: Sugar substitutes vary in sweetness, so start with less and add more to taste.

The Best Options for Coffee
There are several easy ways to add coffee to this sugar-free pumpkin spice latte:
- Use instant coffee: This is a convenient option when you want to make the latte quickly. Add more or less depending on how strong you like the coffee flavor.
- Use freshly brewed coffee: Regular hot coffee gives you a classic homemade latte.
- Use pumpkin spice flavored coffee: Pumpkin-flavored ground coffee can add even more fall flavor without changing the rest of the recipe.
- Make Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew: Use my pumpkin spice cold brew if you prefer cold brew as your coffee base.
Best Keto Sweeteners for Drinks
You can use several keto-friendly sweeteners in this sugar-free pumpkin spice latte, including erythritol blends, allulose, or stevia.
For drinks, I prefer a sweetener that dissolves easily. Powdered sweeteners can be especially helpful if your preferred granular sweetener tends to leave a gritty texture.
Since brands vary in sweetness, adjust the amount to your preference.
Can I Make This Bulletproof?
Yes. The MCT oil in this recipe is completely optional.
If you already enjoy adding MCT oil to bulletproof coffee, you can use it in this pumpkin spice latte too. Blend the drink well so the oil is fully incorporated.
If you don’t use MCT oil, simply leave it out. The pumpkin puree and milk still give the latte a creamy texture.
