Make a one-pot meal in your air fryer with this easy Ninja Foodi Garlic Butter Shrimp & Broccoli recipe. It uses less than 10 ingredients like my homemade garlic butter and frozen or fresh shrimp. Enjoy this saucy meal as is, with my air fryer spaghetti squash, or with my no-bake cookie dough bars as a dessert.
Why Make This
- No-fuss: this meal requires you to dump all of ingredients into the cooking pot and go. You stir once. Plus, no need to thaw out the shrimp because you can cook them from frozen!
- One Pot Meal: when you’re busy, it doesn’t get any easier than a one pot meal. It’s also a huge plus that this dish is ready in 15 minutes.
Ingredients Needed
- Shrimp: I’m using frozen, raw, peeled and de-veined large or colossal shrimp. I personally prefer 16-20 or 13-15 size shrimp.
- Dry White Wine: I usually get the cheapest Pinot Grigio I can find for this. It gives the dish similar flavor as shrimp scampi.
- Garlic Butter: this is a 5-minute recipe that uses fresh minced garlic and spices. You can use it to top my air fryer steak or in my garlic butter chicken and air fryer frozen shrimp recipes.
- Cherry Tomatoes: this adds a fresh, roasted taste. This is optional though. When I originally made this dish I had a bunch of these that I didn’t want to waste so I threw them in the pot and it tasted great.
- Parmesan Cheese: I’m using the fresh grated kind from the refrigerated section market.
- Broccoli: learning how to make air fryer frozen broccoli was huge for me. Now it’s easy to add frozen broccoli into easy meals like this one.
- Sea Salt and Black Pepper: You can add this to taste and save it to the end.
How to Make Air Fryer Garlic Butter Shrimp & Broccoli
- Add the frozen broccoli to the bottom of the cooking pot (no air fryer insert needed).

Top Tips & FAQs
- Use a wine you’d drink: I know most markets sell a cooking white wine, but I’d skip that for something cheap that you would drink like the Barefoot brand.
- Swap wine for chicken broth: if you’re in a pinch, then use chicken broth (regular or chicken bone broth)
- Salt to taste: I always include a recommended amount of salt and pepper in my recipes. But, you can save this until the dish is done and salt to your preference
It’s similar to regularly cooked shrimp. It should be pink and opaque. You’ll notice a light curl on the tail.
Yes, I do cook with butter in an air fryer for recipes such as this one where I’m making a quick sauce and virtually using my air fryer as a stove-top replacement. But, I don’t use butter as the primary oil to crisp food. For that, I use any of these oils for air frying.
Shrimp takes about 5-10 minutes to cook in an air fryer depending on if it is fresh or frozen.
