I pair it with my favorite low carb cauliflower pizza crust and sugar-free BBQ sauce for a quick meal. If you don’t have cauliflower pizza crusts, no worries! I’ve got two low carb pizza crust recipe substitutes. Feel free to swap the pulled pork for chicken or shredded beef. The main goal here is to have bbq specialty pizza in our low carb lives!
What are good toppings?
One of the great things about pizza is that you can have as many toppings as you please. So, I’m going to list some recommended toppings so that you might pick and choose.

What about the crust?
There are two main options for low carb pizza crust.
- Cauliflower Pizza Crust
- Fathead Dough Pizza Crust
You can make both of these low carb pizza crust options.
Fathead Pizza Dough Recipe: If you prefer a fathead-based crust recipe, then use my recipe for Fathead Pizza dough. Fathead dough contains mozzarella cheese, eggs, almond flour, and seasonings so it’s likely you already have these in your refrigerator or pantry.
Low Carb Pizza Crust Recipe: Don’t like fathead dough? Another option is to try this Low Carb Pizza Crust. It includes a mix of almond and coconut flour with psyllium husk, an ingredient that I loved adding to my Keto Bagels.
Cauliflower Pizza Crust Recipe: I haven’t made cauliflower pizza crust at home because it seems too intense, however, one popular recipe that is well rated by people I trust is the one from Pioneer Woman. It has similar ingredients to the one that I buy but takes about 45 minutes.
However, I get cauliflower pizza crust to save time.
I’m using Cali’flour Foods cauliflower pizza crusts in this recipe and highly recommend them. In fact, I have a page full of recipes using Cali’flour crusts since I love them so much!
These low carb crusts are available on their website and Amazon (which is also more expensive FYI). You can use any of the flavors. I used Jalapeno, but have also had this keto pizza recipe with their Italian Crusts.
This recipe has two servings.
So, I typically pair my pizza with a side salad. So, I cut the pizza in half. However, you can opt to eat this by yourself.

- Preheat oven to 385 degrees
- Place crust on parchment paper and cook for 4-5 minutes per side
- Remove the crust from the oven and set aside
- Put toppings on crust - tomato basil sauce, cheese, pulled pork, basil, jalapenos, and red onions
- Bake pizza until cheese is melted (~5 minutes)
- Drizzle bbq sauce on as desired
