- Chicken Quarters: I use raw chicken leg quarters from the grocery store. This piece contains both the chicken thigh and the chicken drumstick.
- Bbq seasoning: I’m using my homemade bbq seasoning recipe. In it, you’ll find common pantry spices like garlic powder, cayenne pepper, brown sugar substitute, thyme and more.
- BBQ Sauce: I prefer a hickory or Kansas-city style barbecue sauce on all of my bbq dishes. To keep things low carb, use my keto bbq sauce recipe. Or, you can pick up your favorite bbq sauce from the grocery store.
How To Make Bbq Chicken Quarters In The Crockpot
- Add the chicken quarters to the crockpot skin side up. Sprinkle with the bbq seasoning and use tongs to mix to coat.
- Add ⅓ cup bbq sauce and toss the chicken to coat.
- Cook on high for 3 hours. Remove the chicken from the crockpot and add to a foil-lined broiler-safe baking sheet. Brush with ⅓ cup of the bbq sauce.
- Broil on high for 3-5 minutes to char the chicken legs and crisp the skin. Brush with more sauce before serving.
