Making Homemade Keto Blue Cheese Dressing and Dip is easy using real food ingredients. It ditches the bad stuff typically found in store-brought dressings like MSG, artificial flavors, and cornstarch. Plus, it has 0 grams of net carbs per serving. Perfect as a dip for keto chicken wings or as a dressing for drizzling on a BLT avocado or keto chicken cobb salad.
Why Make this at home
Blue Cheese Dressing is easy to find at your local grocery store or online. So, you might be wondering why you should spend the time making this at home.
One of the main reasons I decided to make my own blue cheese dressing (and share this post filled with keto salad dressing recipes) is I started to look at the ingredient labels on the backs of dressing bottles.
In some ways, the ingredients made sense. I mean, there’s a lot of additives and preservatives so the bottle can sit on the shelf both at the store and in our home for months.
But, in other ways, I thought the ingredients were unnecessary. For example, why does salad dressing have to include things like MSG, cornstarch, and artificial flavors?
Considering that most salad dressings take just a few minutes and taste better than anything you can buy at the store, I decided to add this dressing along with my ranch dressing and Caesar salad dressing to my recipe box.
