This Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing and Dip recipe is easy to make with real food ingredients. Plus, it tastes better than any thing you can find online and pre-made at the store. Perfect for dipping keto chicken wings into or drizzling on a wedge salad.
What is Blue Cheese Dressing?
Blue cheese dressing is a flavorful addition to salads, an excellent dip for wings, and a good addition to many meals. I love it because it’s tangy, thick, and filled with bold flavor.
Why make this at home
Like other salad dressings, blue cheese is easy to find at your local grocery store or online. So, you might be wondering why you should spend the time making this at home.
One of the main reasons I decided to make my own blue cheese dressing (and share this post filled with keto salad dressing recipes) is I started to look at the ingredient labels on the backs of dressing bottles.
I was shocked by what I found!
In some ways, the ingredients made sense. I mean, there’s a lot of additives and preservatives so the bottle can sit on the shelf both at the store and in our home for months.
But, in other ways, I thought the ingredients were unnecessary. For example, why does salad dressing have to include things like MSG, cornstarch, and artificial flavors?
Considering that most salad dressings take just a few minutes and taste better than anything you can buy at the store, I decided to add this dressing to my recipe box.
