If you’re a chocolate lover, then you’ll love this three-ingredient, Keto Frosty with a twist. It features Choczero Chocolate Hazelnut Spread (Keto Nutella), ice and heavy cream. It’s the perfect dessert for just one or two people on a hot day. I also include directions to make a low-carb chocolate milkshake with keto ice cream too!

Why Make This
If you’re looking for reasons to whip up this Keto Frosty in your blender, here are my top four:
- No sugar-added alternative to a Wendy’s frosty or chocolate milkshake
- Requires just three ingredients or two if you make it with your favorite keto-friendly ice cream
- Quick to make in a blender: in fact, it takes less than 5 minutes
- Perfect dessert for just one or two people
Ingredients Needed
- Ice: keeps your Keto Frosty cold and allows it to be more like a milkshake
- Heavy Whipping Cream: this creates a creamy texture and when it is whipped with ice, it tastes more like a no-churn ice cream. If you have a keto-friendly ice cream on-hand, simply replace the ice and heavy cream in this recipe with the same amount of ice cream
- Keto Chocolate Hazelnut Spread: this has just 1g net carb per serving.
- Xanthan Gum: this ingredient is optional. But, it works to help create a smooth finish for blended drinks like Frappuccino and milkshakes.
How to Make This
It doesn’t get much easier than add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender to incorporate.
I tend to use the smart settings on my blender to determine how much time. When I made this, it took about 60 seconds to fully incorporate.
Suggested Toppings
I had a lot of fun making this and went a bit crazy with toppings. Though these are recommended below as options, feel free to skip them if you choose.
- Keto Whipped Cream: you can pick this up at the store or click to use my recipe.
- Honest Syrup: You can use the chocolate flavor as a mix-in, fun surprise at the bottom of the drink or to drizzle on top. I like it because it just has 1g net carbs per serving.
- Keto Sprinkles: I personally ordered these from Etsy for this drink and my keto cupcakes. I love these because they are sugar-free and have a lot of fun, bold colors.

Recipe Tips & FAQs
- Use Keto Nutella or Chocolate Honest Syrup: I enjoy both of these in this milkshake.
- Add a keto sweetener to taste for added sweetness: to me, Keto Nutella is sweet enough without anything added, but if you’re wanting more sweet flavor, feel free to add your favorite sweetener to the blender
- Freeze the cups: cold drinks require cold cups. Before making this, I put the milkshake glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
Can you make a keto frosty with ice cream?
Yes! Simply, replace the ice and heavy cream in the recipe with an equal amount of your favorite keto-friendly ice cream brand.
