Keto & Low Carb Product Reviews
Since this blog is focused on sharing keto & low carb recipes, I get the chance to try new products and services that are aimed at the keto & low-carb communities. Most times, I get to try them in advance of the rest of the public and free of charge.
When a company shares their products and services with me, their hope is that I'll love the product and share it. And, when I get the opportunity to write a review, my hope is that you'll come to trust me as a source for the best products.
How do you select products to review?
Writing reviews is not the main goal of this blog. So, I tend to write reviews for products that I use and love only if I think it might be useful. Besides that, some of these reviews happen when a company emails me because they have a product that they think is relevant to the low-carb and keto community.
Most of these reviews are positive, how can I trust them?
You'l find that most of my product reviews are positive. There is one main reason for that.
I only work with companies that allow me to speak freely
After, I get a product in the mail, and before writing a review, I test out the product. This allows me to decide how I feel about it.
Next, I share my feedback with the company or brand. Since I know that companies send me products in hopes of spreading a positive message about their product, I give every brand the option of whether or not they want me to move forward with a review.
For the most part, companies are happy to hear the good, bad, and the ugly.
But, there are some instances, when they're not and a company might ask me not to share a review. I'm ok with that.
Do you get money for reviews?
Sometimes. Here's why...
Blogging is hard work. In fact, to get to this point (where people, besides my mom, visit), it required lots of late nights working after work to write recipes, take photos, and write blog posts.
Blogging is also expensive! In fact, it cost me and my family hundreds of dollars each month for over a year before I made a single dollar.
While I'm happy about the sacrifices that I made to pursue my passion, it also helps me see the value in the work that I do.
This means that I often require brands and companies to pay me for the work required to write a review and all that work it took to create a blog where a review from me even matters.
