One of the most luxurious desserts out there is mousse. I make all types of mousse, however one of the classic flavors is chocolate. In this easy Keto Chocolate Mousse recipe, I use simple ingredients to give mousse a keto-friendly makeover. Enjoy this on its own, with berries, or a dollop of my keto whipped cream.
Why Make This
The smooth, creamy texture of mousse is both decadent and amazing. But, most mousse recipes are complicated and filled with sugar. I made this Keto Chocolate Mousse recipe so I could curb my craving without any guilt.
Besides that, this dessert is so simple. In fact, it takes less than 10 minutes to make. Plus, since it includes cream cheese, it is decadent and also super filling.
A Mousse With Cream Cheese
Some mousse contains gelatin, which typically holds things together. However, in this recipe I use cream cheese instead. It produces a structured, yet fluffy mousse consistency. Plus, it’s way less complicated, making it a great option for all levels of cooks.
Ingredients & Tips
This recipe uses unsweetened cocoa powder, but it would also turn out using any chocolate powdered mixture that you have on-hand. You might substitute the cocoa powder with a chocolate keto shake mix or even chocolate collagen. Just be sure to adjust the sweetener to taste since most of these come pre-sweetened.
How To Make It
This is one of my favorite options because its literally dumps & go. I prefer to fluff up my softened cream cheese a bit before adding the remaining ingredients.
What To Enjoy This With
Chocolate mousse is pretty decadent, so it does not need much to accompany it. Some options that I enjoy are:
- Berries: either raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries
- Keto Whipped Cream
