Why share a Keto Christmas Dinner recipes post?
Christmas is often celebrated multiple times with various friends and family members. I love to serve various meals so I’m not stuck in a boring meal rotation. Plus then I have a great variety of leftovers so maybe I won’t even have to cook the remainder of the year.
I’ve got a great selection of low-carb Christmas menu ideas across five recipe categories so you can pick and choose to create your perfect menu.
Quick Tips for Hosting a Low Carb Christmas Meal
Make sure each guest has at least 2-3 food options
I always want to make sure I check with my guests ahead of time for any food allergies or restrictions. I want to make sure at least most of the planned menu fits their needs, even if every dish won’t work for every person.
Add some fresh veggies & fruit so that anyone might round out their plate
Make sure and have some raw or roasted veggies, as well as fresh fruit for a sweet treat. Everyone can munch on those and use them to round out their plates no matter what time of day your meal is.
Keto Christmas Dinner Main Dish Ideas
I generally think of a lovely roast as my main Christmas protein. I love the presentation of the beef as you can pair a lot of different vegetables and sides with it, plus you can often buy a cheaper cut and use low and slow cooking methods to make it shine.
I also think of Christmas as a time to have non-traditional main dishes that’s why I included my Keto Korean Beef BBQ Ribs.
If you have guests that don’t eat red meat, I’ve got a great selection of keto seafood recipes, including my Shrimp with Cauliflower Risotto, so make sure and check those out, or combine them into a classic Surf ‘n Turf.
